Thurrock
BBC sitcom “White Gold” filmed in Thurrock for its second series. The show, which is set in the 1980s, features Essex salesman Vincent and his team and utilizes several locations in Thurrock. The first series also featured locations in Thurrock, such as Argent Street in Grays.
Located on the north bank of the River Thames with 18 miles of riverfront, Thurrock is a borough in Essex with great history and many things to do! Here, you will find Coalhouse Fort, the port of Tilbury and TIlbury Fort – this is where Queen Elizabeth I addressed her troops and gave the famous ‘heart of a king’ speech in 1588. In Grays, Lakeside Shopping Centre is a popular destination to eat, drink, shop and more with Boom Battle Bar, Upside Down House, and Nickelodeon Adventure.
