Osea Island
The 2020 psychological thriller, starring Jude Law was shot on the private Osea Island, situated off of the Essex coast near Maldon. The six part thriller followed a couple as they become trapped on a mysterious island with some strange inhabitants. The remoteness of the story made Osea the perfect location for the production which was said to have taken almost a month to shoot at the location and saw the private islands population grow to over 200.
Osea Island is an enchanting private inhabited island in the Blackwater Estuary. Spanning around 380 acres, this secluded destination in Essex is accessible via boat and a Roman causeway that appears during low tide. As well as 38 residential properties, Osea Island boasts a recording studio. golf course, pub, and more! Having been owned by music producer Nigel Frieda, the island has served as a creative retreat for stars including Rihanna, Stormzy, and Charli XCX.
