This 2004 film starring Paul Bettany and Willem Dafoe, utilized Hedingham Castle in Essex as a filming location for its castle interiors. The movie tells the story of a priest on the run who joins a traveling acting troupe and gets caught up in solving a murder.
An iconic landmark of Essex, Hedingham Castle in Halstead was built over 900 years ago and is known to be the best preserved Norman keep in England alongside the motte and bailey castle.
