Where was it filmed?

Following the story of  an elusive assassin who makes his living carrying out hits for the highest fee, The Jackal aired on AppleTV+ has been an instant hit with the critics Whilst much of the 10 part series was filmed in Croatia, a number of the stories pivotal scenes were shot here in the UK.

Episode 1.  Hot on the trail of the Jackal, M16 analyst Bianca Pullman phones her family from ‘Belfast Airport’ to let them know she is safe, but look closely and you will recognise that the terminal is actually London Southend airport in Essex.

Where can i visit?

London Southend Airport operates daily flights to a number of destinations . via EasyJet, Ryanair, Emirates and British Airways transporting passengers to over 200 worldwide destinations. Southend Airport is served by its own train station, just metres from the entrance.

Southend Aiport is easily accessible by car via the M25, there are up to 6 direct trains per hour, travelling into the centre of Southend or towards Chelmsford and London, or if you’re travelling by bus, catch the X30 from Chelmsford Bus Station.

You can also view the aeronautical icon which is The Vulcan which is kept in a hangar at the airport by the Vulcan Restoration Trust’s. Their annual Vulcan Day is a great chance to see Vulcan XL426 up close in its hangar at London Southend Airport.
