Where was it filmed?

In “The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin,” Dick Turpin (Noel Fielding) sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws Together with his gang of lovable rogues, Turpin rides the highs and lows of his new endeavours, including a brush with celebrity, all whilst trying to escape the clutches of the thief-taker. In Novermber 2024, dick and his merry band took up residence in Epping Forest for 3 weeks where they filmed a number of hideout scenes. Traffic was diverted through the night to maintain its 18th century appearance.

Where can i visit?

Epping Forest is a 2400-hectare ancient woodland stretching from east London to just north of Epping in Essex. The forest offers a wonderful range of activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, football, golf, cricket and boating; with events all year round. Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge is just next door and is a perfect example of a Tudor hunt standing, where Henry VIII’s and royals alike would have held hunts and elaborate feasts in the 16th Century. Here you can learn about the Forest’s part in Tudor history, architecture and culture.
