Ingatestone Hall is a 16th century manor house constructed by Sir William Petre, who was Secretary of State to four Tudor Monarchs. His descendents still occupy the estate today, and the house retains much if its original appearance including furniture, pictures and other memorabilia that has been aquired over many years. The Hall is one mile out from the village of Ingatestone, surrounded by 10 acres of stunning enclosed gardens. The Hall is open to guided tours where visitors are able to enjoy an afternoon exploring the eight principle rooms. The Hall is also available to hire for weddings and corporate events.
