Holy Innocents Church
Some may say the church plays the main character in this latest Knives Out story.
It served as the hero location for this production who took great care when filming in and around it.
During their time filming here, Glenn Close played on the churches organ and the vicar was mistaken as an extra by one of the main cast members!

Cressing Temple Barns
Whilst there was no filming at Cressing, the grounds of Cressing Temple Barns were used as a Unit Base for the production vehicles during their filming at nearby Faulkbourne.

Since 1873, the current church has sat nestled amongst the ancient trees of Epping Forest.
Epping Forest is a 2400-hectare ancient woodland stretching from east London to just north of Epping in Essex. The forest offers a wonderful range of activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, football, golf, cricket and boating; with events all year round. Queen Elizabeth’s Hunting Lodge is just next door and is a perfect example of a Tudor hunt standing, where Henry VIII’s and royals alike would have held hunts and elaborate feasts in the 16th Century. Here you can learn about the Forest’s part in Tudor history, architecture and culture.

Witham offers a variety of activities, including scenic walks along the River Brain, exploring historical sites like St. Nicolas Church, and enjoying leisure facilities like the Rivenhall Oaks Golf Centre. The town also hosts annual events such as Witham Open Gardens and a Medieval Fayre. For families, there are options like the Witham Games arena and Pickles Playhouse.
Cressing Temple Barns
Cressing Temple Barns, between Witham and Braintree, is of supreme interest for its unique buildings and gardens. Gifted to the Knights Templar in 1137, its Grade I-listed Barley and Wheat Barns, built in the 13th century, are among the oldest timber barns and few surviving Templar buildings in England. Displays inside outline the history of the Templars and the site.
Among Cressing Temple’s many gardens, the Walled Garden is faithfully reconstructed as a Tudor pleasure garden – one of few in the country. Cream teas at ‘The Barns’ Tea Room and picnics in Cressing Temple’s gardens are popular. Admission and parking at Cressing Temple Barns is free, although donations are welcome.
